How fast are funds available when a direct deposit is made to an online bank?

…such as ING Direct. Let’s say I get paid on fridays and I have direct deposit set up for ING, would I be able to access that money on friday or would I have to wait until like the following wednesday like any normal bank transfer to an online account? http://bit.ly/mpCcn5
