Am I better with a .co.uk domain?

I am in UK and want to creat a website/page for affiliate marketing and perhaps starting a small business. I saw a web hosting site which offered me a .com domain but I thought it might look better having it uk based as that what attracts people to it (in UK). Any advice? http://bit.ly/oRTF7F
